Uttarakhand

The Land of Gods

Uttarakhand, a state in northern India crossed by the Himalayas, is known for its Hindu pilgrimage sites. Famously known as Devbhumi, or the Land of the Gods, Uttarakhand is a land of untouched natural beauty and sublime spirituality. Carved out from Uttar Pradesh, the state, formerly known as Uttaranchal, is a place that not only boasts of a scintillating view of the Himalayas but also exhibits a cultural ethos which speaks of a simplistic and harmonic coexistence with nature. With oaks, birches, silver firs and rhododendrons adorning the steep mountain slopes, Uttarakhand offers you a glimpse into an untainted, idyllic world, straight out of the pages of some ancient pastoral literature. Its 27th state of India is a land blessed with celestial beauty and the grace of Gods. Uttarakhand is a very popular pilgrimage site, seeing as it is the originating spot of the Ganga and the Yamuna, two of the most sacred rivers for Hindus. Uttarakhand is home to the Char Dhams, which are four of the most pious sites of pilgrimage revered by the Hindus – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Thousands of tourists visit Uttarakhand annually to pay homage to the Char Dhams. Uttarakhand encompasses everything from snow-clad mountains and gigantic peaks, through scenic locales and untamed wildlife, to sacred pilgrim destinations. Nestled at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas in the northern part of India Ancient temples, forest reserves, national parks, hill stations, and mountain peaks welcome you in the calm, cooling air of Uttarakhand and the joy doubly increases as we reveal that you can visit some of the famous hill stations of India in Uttarakhand. Mussoorie, Nainital, Dhanaulti, Lansdowne, Sattal, Almora, Kausani, Bhimtal, and Ranikhet are ever embracing hill stations in the state.

Thank you so much for all your caring and tremendous effort & loving contributions in making this trip to India such a relaxed & enjoyable holiday. Your care & attention to detail in providing us a comfortable room was not an easy feat (esp with 3 people sharing a room) but you achieved this & surpassed our expectations in every hotel we stayed at. Your presentation of flowers on my birthday in Bombay was such a beautiful touch, just like the beautiful man that you are. You will always be highly recommended by Faye & myself & we will definitely come back again the third time, God willing. Thanks again Pravin + may God bless you + your business for many years to come.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into organising our India trip. I really appreciated the extra care and consideration you provided offer my fall in Shimla. I love the walking stick too! The journey through India, the palaces and forts and other sites were, especially the Taj Mahal, most memorable. The food, the people, the sights and sounds were a sensory delight. The drivers Virender and Kutcri were amazing and drove us safely through some scary road, specially in the north. Best wishes for your continued success.
